Marc Valpiani is a multi-instrumentalist with a passion for playing, teaching and composing in a diverse range of musical styles.
He graduated from the Sydney Conservatorium of Music (University of Sydney), studying cello under Georg Pedersen. During this time he performed with a number of orchestras and chamber music ensembles. He was selected for the Estivo Summer School in Verona, Italy as a member of the Bronte Quartet.
Aside from performing as a cellist, he has been involved in a number of musical projects ranging from singing in the Sydney Philharmonia Vox ensemble to writing and producing his own original music.
As a teacher, Marc has taught Cello, Saxophone, Guitar and Bass guitar as well as conducting ensembles and working as the cello tutor for The Arts Unit Symphony Orchestra.
He currently works as a freelance musician and music tutor and is based in Sydney’s Inner West.
