Piano & Singing Teacher
Vanessa Agius is a passionate musician specialising in piano and voice. She is a graduate of The Sydney Conservatorium of Music holding a Bachelor of Music Studies (2018) majoring in Classical Voice. She specialises in a range of genres including classical, opera, contemporary and musical theatre.
Vanessa is an active performer in the theatre and opera industries, with notable performances in The Little Mermaid, Grease, Footloose, and has performed alongside world-renowned theatre artist Patti LuPone in her “Don’t Monkey with Broadway” Sydney tour.
She also has a great passion for mentoring and educating young performers in classical and operatic performance. She has been a senior mentor for Opera Carnevale in their productions of I Pagliacci, Mahagonny Songspiel/Kurt Weill Cabaret, and Seven Little Australians as part of the Spiegeltent Festival on their Wollongong and Bathurst tours. Vanessa recently had the honour of debuting with Musgrove Opera as ‘Nutty Liz’ in their original production of ‘Hansel & Gretel’.
Vanessa is passionate about inspiring young musicians to develop their musicality and determine what they love about music! She strives to tailor lessons to each student’s learning styles to find what fits them best whilst also expanding their knowledge about their potential as musicians.
