Phoebe Greener

Piano Teacher

Phoebe has been playing Piano since the age of 6. She graduated from the University of Tasmania (UTAS) with her Bachelor of Music degree in 2022 with a GPA of 6.05, majoring in classical piano performance under Shan Deng. Phoebe also received the Conservatorium of Music Scholarship while at UTAS. She has performed in numerous solo and ensemble recitals, including a performance of Saint-Saëns Piano Concerto No.2.

Phoebe has taught Piano privately for three years, and since recently moving to Sydney has also taken up teaching with IWIM. She enjoys teaching in ways that engage her students and suit their learning goals, whether that be in playing the piano for leisure, or for technical and exam preparation. Phoebe focuses primarily on expression through music, but she believes that a good technical foundation is important to unlock broader musical expression. She enjoys building on her students’ technical abilities according to their musical needs and preferences.

Phoebe particularly enjoys playing music with great expressive avenues, ranging from the contemplative to the dramatic.
