Double Bass & Piano Teacher in Sydney’s Inner West
Lillian has a Bachelor of Music (performance) from the University of Sydney under the guidance of Kees Boersma and Alex Henery. She started playing and performing Double Bass at the age of 15, performing in school and community ensembles from her hometown of Newcastle until she moved for her degree in 2019.
She has since been fortunate enough to perform with Opera Australia for their National Tour in 2023 and 2024. Lillian also regularly performs with other orchestras such as Sydney Philharmonia and Orchestra Victoria as well as being a member of the Orchestra Project led by Fabian Russell.
Lillian has had the opportunity to perform on a regional tour of New South Wales with her chamber ensemble, Forelle Ensemble, and travel abroad to England, Germany and Czech Republic with the Sydney Conservatorium of Music Symphony Orchestra.
Lillian has just come back from a year long Australian and Singaporean tour of Lord of the Rings: A Musical Tale and is very excited to step back into teaching in 2026. She values building trust, nurturing confidence and supporting students grow to their full potential, ensuring that they have a lot of fun and grow a love and appreciation for music in the process.
