Isabella Yang is a cello and piano teacher at Inner West Institute of Music, offering supportive and engaging lessons for students of different ages and abilities.

Isabella has been playing cello and piano since the age of eight. Since then, she has been involved in a wide range of musical ensembles, including symphony orchestras, chamber orchestras, choirs, chamber music groups and the Sydney Youth Orchestras.

She graduated as a music scholar from Santa Sabina College and has received her AMEB Cello AMusA and LMusA certifications. Isabella has also performed as a soloist in a variety of large works, including accompanying Gondwana Choirs’ Young Men’s Choir in Veronica Tsang’s piece, Hosier Ln. During her time at school, she had the opportunity to perform in prestigious venues including the Sydney Opera House.

Isabella has been teaching music since 2023. As a cello and piano teacher, she aims to create lessons that are encouraging, structured and enjoyable, helping students build strong technical foundations while developing confidence and musical expression.

Whether students are beginning cello lessons, developing their piano skills, preparing for exams, or simply learning for enjoyment, Isabella is passionate about supporting each student’s musical journey and helping them grow as musicians.
