John has been studying and performing contemporary acoustic and electric guitar and bass for some 32 years with a hands-on approach for students to develop into performers in ensemble and band performance.
Studying through The Sydney Conservatorium of Music and also having one on one tuition with some of Sydney’s finest working musicians, John has performs regularly live on stage in pop, rock, soul, jazz and funk bands small and large and has rubbed shoulders with some of the best local, national and international high level musicians in Australia which he continues to do so to this very day.
He runs regular workshops, jamming nights,live public concerts and festivals, live corporate events,charity gigs, one on one tuition and much more with his network of industry contacts to perform live whether it’s a quick set for an open mic night’s or a 3 hour show. He is currently the bass player and manager for 3 Sydney based tribute bands in spanning genres in classic rock,blues and soul music.
As the Inner West Institute of Music’s operations and business expansion manager John’s role is to source and expand all B2B opportunities including studio expansions, fit outs and renovations, safety and compliance and the introduction of musical programmes in Sydney’s private and public schools including early childhood learning centres as well as adult participation.
