Shaun Skinner

Guitar, Drums & Piano Teacher

Shaun is a qualified music educator and experienced guitar tutor with over 15 years of playing experience and more than 8 years of private teaching. He holds a Bachelor of Music from the Newcastle Conservatorium of Music and a Masters of Teaching. He has spent the past four years teaching high school music across a variety of schools.

Specialising in contemporary guitar with strong foundations in blues, jazz and acoustic fingerstyle, Shaun teaches students of all ages and skill levels—from complete beginners to advanced players and HSC students preparing for performance, composition and aural examinations.

Having worked with students aged 9 to 50+, including those with diverse learning needs, Shaun is known for his patient, relaxed and encouraging teaching style. His lessons are tailored to each student’s individual goals, helping them build confidence, develop strong technique and foster a genuine passion for music.
