Our wonderful featured student for February is Sienna Walker.
Sienna is 10 years old, in year 6 at school, and is learning 3rd Grade Violin with Victoria Jacono-Gilmovich. Sienna first discovered she wanted to play music at the age of 5, and she ran to her mum to ask for lessons! Sienna started with Victoria in 2016 and has really come far. In her parent’s words, “Victoria is a fabulous teacher… nurturing but tough. Sienna is becoming more confident with her playing and values Victoria’s comments for furthering her skill.” Sienna has become more confident with playing on her own or in a group as she does with her school ensembles. She knows she has a long way to go but really puts the effort in. And she does do the hard work – Sienna practices very often and when asked to do so she does it without fuss because she enjoys it! In the future, Sienna would like to be a violinist, doctor or artist!
We’re so proud of you Sienna! And we will be following your progress this year as you ace the next exam!
